Review

This film tells Riddick's fight for survival on an inhospitable planet with monsters and bounty hunters after him.The first part of "Riddick" is like a scifi version of "Man vs Wild" but not in a good way. There is no human interaction the monsters are really ugly and there are far too many graphically disturbing scenes. After the bounty hunters land on the planet the film picks up pace. The aggressive rivalry between the two packs of bounty hunters is well portrayed while Riddick's continued war for survival is interesting.Maybe it's the monotonous colour scheme the high number of disturbing graphics or the lack of emotional climax. There is something not quite right with "Riddick". Viewers in the cinema leave in a cloud of confusion without being entertained. There were even a few people who walked out in the middle of the film. Though I did marginally enjoy it I expected it to be much better.
