Former government agent Raymond Red Reddington (James Spader) has eluded capture for decades. But he suddenly surrenders to the FBI with an offer to help catch a terrorist under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth Liz Keen (Megan Boone) a young FBI profiler whos just barely out of Quantico.

Review

Spader is rather good and the show is quite good to watch. They definitely have money to burn and they are burning it It hasn't got me yet but I will give the next episodes a chance to win me over. The story is a little too unbelievable and it looks like the main characters are connected somehow and I hope it's not because he's her father that would be just daft.

The kidnapping scene was hard to swallow as well as a few other twists. The bomb defuse guy was another crazy character and I suppose making the FBI out to be so dumb compared to the main character is also annoying.

So early days but the acting was good way better than the plot. I haven't seen Spader in much in recent years so it was a great choice for the show.
