A man his son and wife become the winter caretakers of an isolated hotel where Danny the son sees disturbing visions of the hotels past using a telepathic gift known as The Shining. The father Jack Torrance is underway in a writing project when he slowly slips into insanity as a result of cabin fever and former guests of the hotels ghosts. After being convinced by a waiters ghost to correct the family Jack goes completely insane. The only thing that can save Danny and his mother is The Shining.

This is the classic horror! Stanley Kubricks Finest! The scariest of the "Kubrick Stares" has to be Jack Nicholson looking through the door in the classic horror scene. The camera music acting and scares are top notch! I highly recommend this movie to Horror fans Kubrick fans psychological thriller fans and even Nicholson fans. You will love this movie to death! Four out of four stars. A definative classic! SEE IT!
